Average golfers sharing their favorite club championship moments
We all have great stories about the club championship at “my club”. Whether you play at a local municipal golf course or a high-end exclusive private golf course, every golf course holds a club championship which highlights the best player at the course for that year. We thought it would be cool to hear about some of the best stories written by average golfers about their club championships. We highlight two stories below, but encourage you to check out the club championship discussion forums to read about more interesting stories.

The NoLayingUp forum is a great place to hear banter and news from all levels of golf. This particular feed titled “Club Championship Stories” highlights stories from average golfers. There are wins, losses and everything in between about winning a golf club championship. Here is one of our favorite stories from the feed about a player who lost his club championship by shanking a chip on the last hole, but then comes back to win by 12 shots 2 years later.
The GolfWRX forum is mostly a place where golf gearheads talk about clubs, trade equipment and discuss random golf stuff. The audience for this forum is a little older than Nolayingup, but this particular feed titled “Club Championship Stories” was started in 2015 and has some good stories over the years. The story highlight below from Mitchell is why golf club championships are really special. These tournaments bring out the best and worst in people on the golf course.
Hope you enjoyed the club championship stories highlighted above. Remember, if you have a great club championship story to share? Email Kris@pgaclubchamp.org and we would be happy to hear your story and possibly highlight it on our site.
